MOYO ISLAND
The
island set northward of Sumbawa, in front of the
Saleh strait, with an area of 30,000 hectares. Moyo
Island has both land and marine tourist object. Its
tropical forest is a home for variety of wildlife.
There also two waterfall here : Mata Jitu and Diwas
Mbo'i. Its marine environment provides a beautiful
under water panoramic view for snorkeling and scuba
diving. Lady Diana from ENGLAND and Prince William
from the Netherland hade once visited Moyo Island
for their holidays. Accommodation can be simple in
Tanjung Pasir or the very UPMARKET Amanwana Resort
and Villas with its luxury tents. Facilities

speed boat from Badas sea port or 2 hours from

TANJUNG PASIR
It is a
nice white sandy beach at south east of Moyo Island.
The attraction is sunbathing, diving, snorkeling,
fishing and swimming.
MOYO ISLAND NATURE RESERVE
Bush
walking in the tropical forest of the reserve
provides views of plants and animals such as deer,
wild ox, boar, koak kaok, (kind of sparrow), the
cockatoo bird, and the protected "GOSONG" bird.
AIR MANIS BEACH
It is a
white sandy beach located on the south of Moyo
Island. It has a charming underwater scenery with
coral and tropical fishes, and also the tropical
forest that surround it makes Air Manis perfect
place for camping, snorkeling, etc. Sunset and Bush
walking in the tropical forest can also be enjoyed
from Air Manis. Not far away is also a bat cave. Air
Manis can be reached in approximately 30 minutes by
speed boat from Aik Bari Harbor - Moyo Hilir or two
hours from Kencana Beach Hotel.
MATA JITU and DIWAS MBO'I WATERFALL
The
cascading waterfall at Mata Jitu and the nearby
Diwas Mbo'i water fall are found within the nature
reserve on Moyo Island.
MOYO ISLAND SEA WONDER
Moyo
Island has crystal clear water and spectacular blue
coral formation with hundreds of species colorful
fish which offer the visitor greatest place fro
snorkeling and diving opportunities. It has many
kind of sea animals such as turtles, etc.
